Hi Max. I’d like to start by saying that I wasn’t able to embed your post following the instructions posted, so I had to settle for the link instead.

I enjoyed reading your blog post. Your connections between course concepts and multiple different areas of your personal life were very clear. For example, you were able to connect course concepts to your tutoring experience, after school care, and your experience in labs and lectures. I especially liked your story about how you encouraged inclusion (very sly and strategically, I might add) on the basketball court. As an educator or caregiver, it’s easy to encourage kids to include one another, but it’s hard to enforce it without drawing too much attention to the child being excluded. They want to fit in naturally without an adult forcing other kids to play with them. Your strategy was clever and helped me think about more outside-the-box ways I can encourage inclusion amongst peers.

When describing inclusive learn design, I wonder if you meant to say “inclusive learning design” instead of “The Inclusive Learning Design.” My understanding from the module is that inclusive learning design is designing with inclusion in mind, and there are frameworks, such as UDL, to achieve this. However, I could have understood wrong, so I tried to clarify by doing some further research. I found an article that was helpful and I have attached it on the right. It doesn’t necessarily describe whether The Inclusive Learning Design is it’s own entity, but it does talk about inclusive learning design and why it’s needed.

When looking for constructive feedback to give you based on the rubric, I had a hard time. You did a great job at including everything from the rubric and everything from the optional checklist. Your reflection was very thorough and the only feedback I can give is to check for a few minor spelling and punctuation slips. Overall, your understanding and reflection is clear. Great job!
