I can agree that teaching and being a university student can be challenging and rewarding. Sometimes it helps me retain the content I’m learning because I am able to apply it directly within the same week. This is far different from my practicum, where I had to try and remember everything I had learned the previous 8 months. Similarly to what was discussed in module 2 and the attached resources, you are more likely to retain new knowledge when you are able to practice and apply it in a timely matter.
Something I found interesting in your post is that we both connect the most with the constructivism and relevance. I noticed this in Abigail’s post too. When comparing the two, you can see how they are related to one another and why they would compliment each other.
You mention that you have an interest in how social media and technology intersect with education and you can see these tools playing a significant role not only in your personal life but in the lives of your students as well. I wonder if you can elaborate on how social media and technology play a significant role in your personal life? Would you say that they have more of a positive role or negative role? If more positive, do you have strategies to keep them from playing a negative role?

I love the colour use in your blog. Watercolour is one of my favourite art mediums and the use of pink feels very fun and teacher-like. Also, I’m not sure if this is intentional, but the images you have selected pair really nice with the background of your blog, making it look organized and well planned. Your ‘all about me’ page is very sweet, painting a good image of who you are. Your menu page has appropriate sub-categories, meaning your content is also well organized.
I worry that your dividers between your posts on your course category pages may be too light. The white dividers somewhat blend with the pink watercolour effect. Maybe if you made the dividers a dark purple, as the background has some purple but it’s much lighter. I also wanted to mention that there is a large empty space under your blog post title before your content starts. I’m wondering if there is supposed to be a featured image there that maybe failed to embed? Also, I’m not sure if including all of the pieces from the ‘what to include in your blog post’ checklist is part of the blog post rubric, but you may want to check if hyperlinks, headers, and a list and table are required. I know they sometimes don’t fit with what you are needing to say, but maybe you could try incorporating one during your third blog post?
Overall, a really good post that reflected well with who you are and your own educational experiences. I’m excited to read more!
