About Me
Hello everyone, welcome to my blog! My name is Brynn Birtwistle and I am an education student at the University of Victoria. I was raised an hour north of Victoria on Quw’utsun territory, in a small town called Shawnigan Lake. With me were my two sisters, mom, dad, step dad, two step siblings, four dogs, and four cats (yes, I was blessed with a lot of love). It was Quw’utsun land where I gained a deep appreciation for nature and indigenous culture. I am grateful everyday for the Coast Salish people for letting me and my family live, work and play on their lands.
My dream would be to finish my bachelor of education and work as a TOC while I do some travelling. Before settling down (hopefully back in Quw’utsun territory), I would love to work abroad in other countries to gain experience on the different learning styles and cultures. My hobbies include art, going to the beach, music, fitness, hanging out with friends and family, exploring nature, and cooking/ eating!
I have created this blog to share my learning in my technology and innovation in education (EDCI 336) class. This blog will include reflections and tasks from my technology class, food recipes I have created/ tried, and possibly things I am learning in other classes. For this reason, I have called my blog ‘Just a Taste,’ as it is just a taste of my life!
