One thing most post-secondary students struggle with is eating healthy on a time and money budget. When we are going to classes, studying and working, finding time to make three healthy meals a day can be difficult. It’s definitely something I struggle with. Far too many times I have thrown away perishable foods because I didn’t have time to make enough meals that week. This leaves me with an empty fridge for a few days, and a higher chance of eating out and wasting money. For this reason, I have decided to explore what quick, easy and healthy recipes store well for multiple days.

Recipes will be sourced from cook books, the internet, and my family and friends. This blog will be a portfolio of my discoveries and learning, where others can view successes and fails and try the recipes for themselves. At the beginning of every week, I will make a recipe in bulk and put it in multiple food storage containers. At the end of the week, a post will be uploaded documenting the cooking process and how well that meal stored for the week. These posts will follow the “What, So What, Now What” model of critical reflection.

I can’t wait to share my journey with everyone in hopes of providing healthy recipes that will save us all time and money!
